ART AWAKENS IN GALLERY 1988 – PHOTOS

People can already bid on those art works motivated by Star Wars, that were exhibited by the Gallery1988 on 14h of November in Los Angeles. The creations of the Art Awakens pop art show by Disney, Lucasfilm and Bad Robot can be purchased on eBay. The online auction supports the UNICEF Kid Power in the name of Star Wars: Force for Change.

One of the most anticipated pop culture art shows of all-time took place November 14th and 15th at Gallery1988 (West) in Los Angeles, with the cooperation of Disney, Lucasfilm and Bad Robot. Featuring top professional and emerging artists, the Art Awakens exhibit is auctioned off in the name of Star Wars: Force for Change to benefit UNICEF Kid Power. The show's original pieces are up for auction through eBay/artawakens. It was also possible to buy screenprints of selected artworks in Gallery 1988, but only 7 pieces were available exclusively in-store during the weekend. That’s why people lined up early morning in front of the Gallery on Saturday, but not only the Star Wars fans came for the opening, some of them wanted to see an artwork of a specific artist. There were mostly paintings and graphics made for the exhibiton, but also some small statues and a man-sized stormtrooper designed by Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park.
